All across America, women are doing extraordinary
things that make a powerful difference for our children,
schools and neighborhoods. Mrs. Deidra Blanche-
Decay was chosen as a Woman Making A Powerful
Difference in her Community. In July 2008, a luncheon
was held to honor her along with 5 other women from
the New Orleans area. She is featured in the October
2008 edition of Ebony Magazine for her outstanding
efforts.
Recipient of 2009 Essence Magazine Award
Women Making a Difference in the Community Award.
Mrs. Decay is being featured in the Essence Magazine
for her works as Founder & Executive Director of
Awesome Ladies of Distinction. She is making a
difference in the lives of youth.
Blue Cross Blue Shield 2011 Angel Award Winner
Deidra Decay founded the Awesome Ladies of
Distinction Mentoring Program for girls ages 2-17.
Decay mentors young girls through community service,
dance and service learning education.
